Hecho en San Francisco is the Cinco De Mayo party in the Ferry Building. A gathering of various Mexican food vendors, local tequila makers, and heaps of tourists!
Spend your weekend with the Mexican-American communities in Dolores park in celebrating Cinco de Mayo on May 4, Saturday. Move and flex your muscle for starters with the Zumba-thon at 10am (a $10 donation). A display of Mexican cultural heritage in form of live musical concerts of vocals, chorus, orchestra, ensemble dances of the Folklórico ballet and a Mariachi group in colorful and creatively designed costumes.
April 28 marks the celebration of the 14th annualHow Weird Street Faire, a carnival of peace in the Mardi Gras tradition theming it’s version of “Weirdi Gras.” The center of Howard and 2nd Streets, in the SoMa district of San Francisco, will be flooded with people in colorful weird costumes, musical festival of electronic dance stages, live artworks and displays in the stretched gallery of Art Alley, great marching bands parading and performing at the Marching Band Stage the whole day.
