Pacific Tradewinds guests: meet in the hostel common room at 11 a.m.! We’re literally a few feet away from the area we’re going to be exploring, so no need to bring bus fare, but please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes!
We are very fortunate to be right in the heart of North Beach, one of San Francisco’s most diverse districts. Not only are we a short walk away from the BART train, which can take you to the airport and most other major spots around the city, but we are also smack dab in the middle of Chinatown and Little Italy. We explored Chinatown yesterday, so today, let’s take a stroll around Little Italy. The neighborhood is - you guessed it - inspired by everyone’s favorite pizza and pasta-producing country. It even has restaurants, art, and other decorations intended to make it look like it was lifted right out of Italy and put here in San Francisco. Come with us to walk around and check it out!
