Free First Thursdays Art Party at the Quirky Phoenix Hotel

Time:
6pm
Meeting place name:
The Phoenix Hotel
The Phoenix Hotel is a beautiful, quirky, boutique hotel that has quite the legacy. According to their website, the story began back in 1956 as the Caravan Motor Lodge, where legend says Neil Young (yes, that Neil Young) lived there while recording Deja Vu...the famous Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young album. No big deal. It did go pretty downhill in the 70s and 80s until Chip Conley swept in and began his very first boutique hotel. He thought the parking lot was perfect for all the traveling musicians who needed space for parking a bus at night. From there on the place was filled with legends, stories, and rock n roll magic. Today musicians and all types of artist still find temporary stays at the Phoenix, and you can live in that magic even if you don’t say there! That’s because every first Thursday of the month the Phoenix hosts an art show called Daylighted Inc. that combines intriguing new works with drinks, snacks, and good people. It’s free to attend as long as you RSVP (do that here: https://www.eventbrite.com/o/daylighted-inc-8390326014). You can also get VIP tix for 10 bucks that include 2 drinks. It starts at 6pm. You can get more info about The Phoenix here: http://www.phoenixsf.com/ Remember, this event takes place every first Thursday of the month, so be sure to check it out next time you’re in town!
