According to the International Festivals and Events Association, the Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco is one of the ten best festivals in the whole world. And it's right here in our literal backyard! The parade starts at Washington and Grant Streets (five minutes from our front door!) and runs down Market Street until it hits Market and Second Streets. At this parade, you can expect enormous floats, extravagant costumes, and a 288 FOOT TALL DRAGON. That's nearly 88 meters. There will also be firecrackers, dance performances, and an overall good time. The parade runs until 21:00, and it will be VERY crowded, so go early!
