Free National Parks Day

Date:
Saturday 11 Nov 2017
Meeting time:
All weekend
Meeting Place:
Any US National Park
There are so many amazing national parks in the US that are worth their weight in gold even though the entry fees are modest, but it’s extra icing on the cake when you can enter them completely free. This happens a few days a year, and one is coming up soon. On November 11th and 12th (Veterans Day Weekend), you can enter all national parks and monuments for free, including the Bay Area’s famous Muir Woods and nearby Yosemite. If you’ve never been, you’re in for a real treat. If you have, then now is a perfect time to return. Participating California parks are Cabrillo National Monument, Death Valley National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Lava Beds National Monument, Muir Woods National Monument, Pinnacles National Park, San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, Yosemite National Park.
