Haight Ashbury. One of San Francisco’s neighborhoods that transcends countries and languages. Wherever you’re from, we’re sure you’ve heard of hippies or maybe to put a flower in your hair if you’re coming to visit us. The Summer of Love may sound vaguely familiar and images of tie dye and peace signs pop into your head. But have you ever actually seen it or hung out there? Now’s the time! Join Meg from the hostel at 3:30pm to head to the neighborhood that started the free love movement and defined SF history for generations. The Haight may not look like it once did, but there’s still a beautiful and colorful spirit to be found. And always tons of glitter and tie dye at the infamous Jammin on Haight store, one of the many iconic places to stop. We'll be checking out several thrift stores, vintage shops, and other iconic places in the neighborhood. After, head to nearby Corona Heights park for some amazing views over the city.
