Friendly Hostel was a great place to crash. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. Great place!
My time in SF was awesome! Not only the city is amazing, but also this hostel. Nice staff and perfect location for the best price!! I would definitely stay there again.
Clean hostel, friendly staff, nice common room with plugs and computers for work, eating and hanging out, well-stocked kitchen, free breakfast. free breakfast. It's small, but they are very efficient with space. There's a nice little cabinet full of snacks (for a buck or two) and towels for showering. Great location and lots of delicious food down the street in Chinatown. Overall a good experience!
I am completely happy with my experience and stay at Pacific Tradewinds. The whole staff (beginning with a last minute reservation phone call) was extremely helpful and hospitable... the guests along with the staff and volunteers seemed to be having a great time hanging out, I wish we had stayed for the Thanksgiving potluck! I will definitely recommend this hostel to friends traveling to SF. Thanks again!
Awesome. This hostel was the highlight of my trip. The space and staff facilitate social interaction and friendships. Lots of other solo travelers. Hostel is in a perfect location for sightseeing and staff are super helpful with navigation. Staff are super friendly. Henry, Aiden, Deidre, Courtney were awesome! Highly recommended.
My time at your hostel was so homey. I actually felt weird locking up my stuff because felt like we were all one big family. Your staff really encouraged this feeling. I am at another hostel in town right now and though the facilities are certainly fancier, I felt much more at home in my two days at your hostel than I have so far over my longer stay here. I look forward to going back in a few weeks.

My stay was fantastic, the staff were so friendly and helpful. They even tell me the places to go and where is the best deal. I love the environment there and it's so fun. The hostel is near to the city and there are a lot of food places around as well. I would really love to stay there again the next time I go to San Francisco.
had the time of my life in SF just about a month ago. i'm so so happy i was able to stay at Pacific Tradewinds -- the energy between the staff, my hostelsmates, and i was honestly nothing short of magical. the event i flew out for luckily happens every year (and only a 5 minute walk from the hostel, bonus), so i hope i can stay here again next year. thanks again for having me!! i wish i could drop everything and volunteer for staff, haha. it was seriously the perfect place in SF to stay. can't recommend it enough. p.s.
Very clean, very responsive and super helpful! The location was perfect to china town and a short walk to little italy/north beach for food and fun. The staff was very welcoming and helped make me feel at home during my travel. They provided great insight to good spots in the city to check out and how to get there.
