Really chilled out cosy hostel. Very relaxed and friendly, for a great price and in a good area (I had some friends staying at the HI on Ellis/Larkin and that was twice the price and really dodgy). Really liked that staff knew me by name (sorry I said I would help with cleaning and then wasn't around much). I didn't even mind the trek up the stairs! Would totally recommended/stay here again.
NO complaints. Very friendly staff; always willing to provide any info available. Very clean, comfortable beds. I'm awful with names, but every staff member learned and used mine everytime they saw me.
Was thinking of San Fran and remembering the fun times I had in the hostel. I really hope I can come back and say hello again next year!
This is the kind of hostel you want to go in SF!!
Not too big so really easy to communicate with the staff and meet new people. It's a real community, a really friendly place!

I loved the two nights I spent at your hostel, and my only complaint is that I couldn't've stayed longer (but, you guys are always booked for a reason!).
Conveniently located near China Town with public transport nearby to get you to other parts of the city with ease. It's a relatively small hostel, which I like, helping to create such a good social vibe at the hostel. There was a nice little kitchen and common area. The staff were great, especially Kat who gave us a great rundown of the city upon arrival and was able to answer any questions we had. San Francisco is an awesome city and if you're looking for a cool hostel, stay here!!
very good even is a small hostel, it is on the 3rd floor of a building near china town with a chinese restaurant on the floor i was expecting bugs in order to the restaurant as soon as i arrived and i saw the building but no, it is super clean, the staff super nice and helpful, nice mac computers with fast internet to be used and the kitchen is enough big and with appliances. washrooms are ok. mouvies nites would be a good activity they can add
This is a nice hostel, small and welcoming. The common room is good for relaxing, surfing the net and chatting to others. This is not a party hostel but the papers scissors pub crawl in Wednesday night is fun.
Good Hostel. Staff were very friendly, especially a guy called Aiden. Good Lad! Atmosphere was good and staff joined in on the fun which was good.
I loved this hostel, way better than any other I've ever stayed at. There is so much opportunity to meet new people and the way the hostel is built (with kitchen, common room and reception all in one room) also facilitates social gatherings. The free computers and the free coffee and tea, and the free food and spices is an extra bonus which makes you feel very welcome. Staff bends over backwards to help you with anything. Brilliant!
