The open and friendly staff and guests in this hostel made my stay. Bed was comfy and free towel, toast and coffee were nice touches. If you are sociable and want to connect with other travellers (from overseas and from the U.S.) then this is the place for you.
Great hostel in downtown SF! I've been to a lot of Hostels and this was one of the best. It is located pretty much in Chinatown and the financial district. Don't mind the sketchy blue gated door and small sign---hit the intercom and they will buzz you up (you get a key to do this-safety yay!). The reception area is on the fourth floor so take your time with those stairs. Dorms are back down on the third floor and are coed and very open. I was worried about noise but this hostel is great about quiet hours. From 10pm-10am the dorm floor is lights off and quiet. Very easy to sleep.
Great vibes for wandering tribes. Had a great stay at the PTW. As soon as I arrived I felt comfortable and welcomed the team is super warm and always up for a chat.. Always full of suggestions of things to do. Always up with current events. Eg. Free monthly day at the De Young Gallery They know where the good restaurants are. Discounts on bike hire. I absolutely loved this hostel! Location's fantastic, super clean, comfy beds and the staff's super helpful, funny and friendly! We went there to stay for only one night and we ended up staying two to enjoy more the hostel. Highly recommended!
As far as hostels go, it's a good place. The bed is comfortable and the staff are super helpful. I'd recommend contacting them directly rather than booking on Air Bnb. It's considerably cheaper that way.
Very nice and cozy hostel, with all the amenities and things that you may need. All the staff is very kind and make you feel at home. I completely recommend this place, it's nice and comfortable and you get to meet interesting people from all over the world and the States. I would definitely be staying here again. Everything was great, but for me, and I think for lots of people, being able to leave your baggage and pick it up later the check out day is a life saver. Thanks!
