I had a fantastic experience at this hostel. It has a real community feel and all housemates regularly chat and eat together in the common room. The beds and facilities are standard, but clean. The staff are personable and very helpful.
Great place! It was my very first hostel experience. Very clean and everyone there was nice! From the second I rang the bell someone asked if I needed help with any bags, seeings as it is a walk up. As soon as I got in I was offered a glass of water and the guy at the desk was amicable and informative. Ive been to San Francisco before and only had a few hours to see some things since my flight left early morning.
Quick reply - I really appreciate that! Very friendly guys within a nice atmosphere. You feel integrated and accepted from beginning. The wifi works quite fast - comparing to some other places
I've traveled. I've slept in bunk beds. I've had to share showers and toilets. I've had minimal privacy. I've done it all but not by choice. I'm an Army Veteran. However staying at Pacific Tradewinds was a choice, I wanted the experience. I found PTW on Airbnb, requested a 5 night stay and they responded with a Yes! Although, I live 40 minutes away I had to be in SF for 5 days and I didn't want to commute.

I arrived really early in SF and at PTH but Stormy was really friendly and accommodating by letting me drop my bags off until I could check in. Everyone that worked at the hostel welcomed everyone the same and were very helpful with every query I had. Courtney sorted a last minute shuttle to the airport for me and I just made my flight, thanks! The hostel is very clean and was everything I expected. Thanks for hosting me!
Clean, friendly and great location. Good sized storage locker for each bed. Just what I was looking for.
Nice clean accommodations, situated in walking distance of many tourist attractions and restaurants, good value for price. And Albert was awesome!- very friendly, helpful, and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay!
This place awesome! People are very nice and very helpful. Feel very welcome and belonging. First time being in a Hostel. This place set the standard high and exceeded my expectation in all ways for a hostel. Will definitely recommend this to friends
