It was a great time - a very communal feel. Everyone who worked there was very warm, inviting, and happy to include you in any activities that were happening around the area. The other guests were also very respectful. I met a lot of neat and interesting people within the time that I stayed at the Pacific Tradewinds hostel.
The location is perfect. You can go to any famous spot from here by walking, taking bus. People are really friendly. They have some events every week. You have a lot of chance to meet new friends.
I had a wonderful time ar your hostel. I made new friends, and met interesting travelers. The place was clean, comftroble beds, and people were respectful of others. As someone who lives in a communual house, I felt at home during my stay.
Small, friendly place, and well run. I felt really welcomed and at home during my stay, and also before and after when I popped-in to use the internet, or left my luggage, to pick up later. Good location for the centre, and train/metro links throughout the city too. Highly recommended.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the location in between Chinatown and the Financial District were awesome. Lots of friends to be made there as well. The lockers under the beds were extremely convenient and allowed me to enjoy my trip more not having to worry about anything I left behind for the day. Even though the hostel and the people felt safe while I was there, having had bad experiences traveling before, it was a nice reassurance.

Stayed there for 10 days. + Friendly people + Located very central + Accommodation & bathrooms were clean, basic and quiet around nighttime + Had no problems what-so-ever I definitely recommend this budget place for people looking to connect to other travellers and experience SF.
The people at Pacific Tradewinds were so kind to me! From Henry to Rasmus to the rest of them! I literally got to meet people from all over the world in one place! From Japan, Hong Kong, Ireland, France, Germany, and Mexico. The list goes on! I felt so safe and secure there and the location was so convenient! If I have a chance to go back to USA and San Francisco, I would definitely choose this place again if I am there on vacation! Thank you for everything! =)
I was welcomed by Henry, who showed me my bed, and the kitchen. The people were super friendly, and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and the showers were good and clean. I felt very at home here. Don't be put off by the entrance, which can seem a bit shady. It is very cosy upstairs, and the best deal in town by a long shot!
The stay was very comfortable. Awesome people around. Different stories. The rooms were clean. The Restrooms are neat and the beds were comfortable. What else do you need from a hostel?
