If you're indecisive, save yourself the headache and just book this hostel. The staff is awesome and very outgoing (and I'm rather shy, and quiet too), and it's just an overall chill environment. I had a great experience at this hostel. Fantastic, cheerful and very helpful staff. Very clean accommodations. Strict "quiet time" starting at 12am enforced. I met a lot of great people during my week long stay. I will definitely book again on my next visit to San Francisco!
I was in town just to see a show and needed somewhere to sleep afterwards. This place worked out perfect. Staff was polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
This was my first time staying at a hostel and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The volunteers are great - they know everything about San Francisco and direct you to whatever fits your interest. There is a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere in general and you meet travelers from all over the world. Beds are comfy, the kitchen has everything you'll need, and the place is clean overall. Most importantly, the hostel is located in a perfect spot with easy access to major transportation lines. I highly recommend this hostel and will certainly stay here again.
This was my first hostel experience and I wasn't really sure what to expect, but the staff and facility far exceeded my expectations. If I come visit SF again I would definitely consider staying here again. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, the facility is clean, location is transit-friendly, and most of the visitors are friendly. Overall I had a very positive experience.
Had an excellent time at Pacific Tradewinds. The staff was completely welcoming and the community (of mostly internationals) was amazing. If I'm back in the area for another short trip soon, I'll look forward to staying there again.
