Fantastic hostel, great friendly vibe, boutique feel and excellent amenities and staff. Much nicer location than some other popular SF hostels and better value. Highly recommended.

This was a great experience. The location is great - everything I needed was within a fairly short walking distance. It was very clean and everyone was friendly. The staff was very helpful in orienting me to the city, recommending sights to see and local restaurants, etc., also helping me figure out the best public transportation for where I needed to go. WiFi plus available computers plus a fully loaded kitchen area - comfortable surroundings. I would definitely recommend it and I would definitely stay here again.
The hostel was fairly small so I was able to with a fair amount of people without feeling too overwhelmed. There staff members were awesome and helpful with great places to go and giving me directions :D The hostel was clean :D The only thing that really caught me off guard were the 4 flights of stairs that I had to walk up. -- It was a good workout. :p
Great location and facilities. Staff was very helpful laying out some of my walking through the city.

Darren and Dave were great hosts. The location is unbeatable and this is a fantastic place to trade travel exploits while you're visiting SF. Also, the pancake breakfast and the community dinners were outstanding!
This place is a great bargain and in a great location. I needed to leave a day early as I was preparing for an interview and needed a larger amount of person/private space to prepare. Darren was great about refunding my money for the second night. The staff I interacted with were professional, super polite, and very welcoming. I would recommend this place to a person looking for a place to lay their head!
Pacific Tradewinds is a nice hostel very close to the China Town. I was lucky to see the Chinese New Year Parade right outside, which was very convenient. The hostel is nice, staff is friendly and helpful, morning crepe is very delicious, the common area is very cozy to spend time and talk to other guests..
